Village (birth to 18 months).
Village classes are perfect for babies from birth through newly walking toddlers. Classes offer a sensory-rich yet caring and gentle environment where infants can explore and react to new sounds, sensations, and objects. Shared activities for babies and their caregivers provide the opportunity to strengthen your connection with your child through joyful music-making experiences. Level 1 (1-2 yrs).
Level 1 classes are perfect for walkers who are "getting into everything" through toddlers in their early twos. These classes offer young toddlers a stimulating environment to explore their new movement and language skills with a sense of security, comfort, and confidence. As your child thrives in a music and movement-driven environment, you'll have the opportunity to connect with other parents and caregivers and learn to use music to create and simplify routines at home. Mixed Ages (1.5 - 4 years).
Mixed Ages classes work well for families with more than one child that would like to attend one class per week for the family. These classes still offer a stimulating environment, and accommodations are made to ensure that all ages receive developmental benefits. The beauty of the mixed ages class is that the young can learn from the older children in the class, and the older children can serve as leaders and helpers to the younger members of the class. Level 2 (2-3 yrs).
Level 2 classes are perfect for older two year olds and younger 3 year olds. Classes offer young toddlers a stimulating environment to explore their new movement and language skills with a sense of security, comfort, and confidence. Level 3 (3-4 yrs).
Level 3 classes are designed for the older three year old and four year olds. This is the first level of classes that parents are not involved for the duration of the class, but join in for the last 10 minutes of class to see what their child has learned. Activities in this class engage preschoolers' natural love of music and activate their imaginations. Level 4 (4-5 yrs).
Level 4 classes have an emphasis on learning foundational musical concepts. Learning to make music will increase a child's capacity to think and perform at higher levels than they would without musical training. Movement games and dances are a little more complicated than they were previously, combining singing or vocalizing with movements, and exhibiting more self-control. Young Child (5-7 yrs).
Young Child - our most advanced classes - offer children the opportunity to use music notation to play a variety of instruments and participate in ensembles, while developing problem-solving and pre-literary skills.
